The men’s Hockey Team defeated Spain 2-1 on 8th August in the bronze medal match to secure India’s 4th medal in the Olympics. After an unfortunate last quarter defeat in the semi-final against Germany, the Men in Blue made no errors as Harmanpreet Singh led from the front and scored a deuce to help India repeat its Tokyo 2020 success.

Neeraj Chopra Wins India’s First Silver, Creates History Yet Again

The man who led India’s 2024 contingent from the front, Neeraj Chopra, lived up to the expectations by becoming the first Indian track-and-field athlete to win a medal in consecutive Olympics, as he won a silver in Men’s Javelin Throw. He finished behind Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who created an Olympic Record with his 92.27m throw.

Aman Sehrawat Becomes India’s Youngest Olympic Medalist

After Vinesh Phogat’s heartbreak, Aman Sehrawat brought home some much needed comfort as he won the bronze medal in Men’s 57k Freestyle Wrestling– defeating Puerto Rico’s Darian Cruz with a dominant 13-5 scoreline. He broke P.V. Sindhu’s record to become India’s youngest Olympic medalist at the age of 21 years and 24 days.
