Launched this month, the scheme aims to bring more and more youth closer to job opportunities by providing internships across 24 sectors, including automotive, energy, banking, and more. A total of 1.25 lakh internships are planned for this financial year.

Who Can Apply?

People aged 21 to 24 who have completed high school, ITI courses, diplomas, or undergraduate degrees are eligible to apply. Being enrolled in distance learning or part-time education won’t be a problem. The internships span 12 months.

The Financial Benefits

The monthly stipend will be of ₹5,000, with ₹4,500 contributed by the government and ₹500 from partner companies. Plus, a one-time grant of ₹6,000 will be provided at the start of the internship. All interns will also be covered under government insurance schemes.

A Huge Response

With companies like Maruti Suzuki, L&T, and Reliance offering opportunities, more than 1.55 lakh candidates have registered. Across 737 districts in all the states and UTs, the scheme will combat youth unemployment and provide work experience to freshers as well.
